On May 1, 2025, we will switch to more secure multifactor authentication (MFA) methods for added protection when you login to your USPTO.gov account to access our systems and applications. If you're using text messages (SMS) or voice calls as a second factor to verify your account, you must switch to a more secure method by April 30 to avoid any impact to your service. Email as a second factor to authenticate your account is still available. Our web page has details and options to consider. You must download, install, and configure your chosen method on your device.
